GearTrax 2022 is a parametric, feature-based gear generator that operates as an add-in for SolidWorks 2022. Unlike basic toolboxes that offer only cosmetic representations, GearTrax creates fully machinable, true-scale involute profiles. The software calculates the exact tooth geometry based on user-defined inputs (module/diametral pitch, pressure angle, number of teeth, backlash, and profile shift).
GearTrax 2022 is generally backward compatible with older versions of SOLIDWORKS (dating back as far as 2006). It can also be run as a standalone program geartrax 2022 for solidworks
GearTrax 2022 does not auto-assemble gears or simulate motion. It generates individual parts. For motion studies, you still need SolidWorks’ Mate Controllers or third-party motion analysis tools.
