Framework laptops are designed with "Expansion Cards"—small interchangeable modules that slide into the sides of the laptop to provide ports (USB-C, HDMI, MicroSD, etc.). By open-sourcing the schematics for these cards and the mainboard, Framework inadvertently seeded a hardware development kit. This isn't just good for hobbyists
