The pursuit of uninterrupted system uptime has historically been a binary trade-off: apply a patch and reboot (losing state) or risk continued exposure to a known fault. This paper introduces , a novel middleware artifact that challenges this dichotomy. Unlike traditional hotfixes, which require quiescent periods for atomic replacement of code segments, dynapatch implements a non-stationary repair model .
Result: the VM feels snappier—shorter compile times and a happier terminal.
