In near-future Seoul, an AI research company creates GameGuardian, an emergent system that models human choices as game states and can simulate, predict, and subtly influence outcomes. To train it, developers feed it anonymized life data and recruit "gamers" — ethically gray operatives who play simulated versions of real people's lives to guide the AI's learning.
