This movement, largely rejected by major LGBTQ institutions like GLAAD and The Trevor Project, ignores the historical truth that the police raided Stonewall because of gender non-conformity. It also ignores the practical reality: trans people exist in same-sex relationships too. When a trans man loves a cisgender man, that is a gay relationship. The attempt to sever the from LGBTQ culture is an act of historical amnesia and political suicide.
